SVC-01 · Automation & controls

PLC, HMI & SCADA that operators actually like using.

We design, program and commission control systems for new plant and existing lines, and we migrate legacy systems in planned stages so production keeps running. We work across all the major automation brands, and we're just as comfortable with bespoke, one-off and proprietary control systems that others won't touch. All software is checked against our in-house PLC/HMI software verification standard before it reaches site.

What we do

  • PLC programming on all major brands
  • Bespoke and proprietary control systems
  • HMI and operator interface design
  • SCADA development and support
  • Legacy PLC upgrades with staged cutovers
  • Instrumentation installation and calibration
  • Telemetry and RTU programming
  • Historian, data and energy reporting
  • Remote and on-site fault finding

Turnkey PLC programs

Concept to commissioning, one team.

We own the whole control system, so nothing falls through the gaps between the designer, the programmer and the commissioning engineer.

STAGE 01

Concept

Your process, goals and constraints turned into a written control philosophy and functional description.

STAGE 02

Design

I/O lists, network architecture, hardware selection and electrical drawings.

STAGE 03

Program

PLC logic, HMI screens and SCADA, structured, commented and written to our in-house standard.

STAGE 04

Test

Software verified before it reaches site, and panels tested in our Griffith workshop.

STAGE 05

Commission

On-site I/O checks, functional testing and staged cutovers that protect production.

STAGE 06

Support

Documentation, program backups and operator training, then remote and on-site support.

Scale

One machine or the whole plant.

Machine automation

A single machine, cell or skid: conveyors, packaging, palletising, filling, pumps and process skids. Self-contained control, a clear operator screen, and safety designed in from the start.

Plant-wide automation

Multiple machines and process areas running as one system: line coordination, sequence and recipe control, plant networks, SCADA, alarming and data logging, so you can see and run the whole site from one place.

Advanced PLC programming

Code your maintenance team can live with.

Advanced doesn't mean complicated. It means programs that handle the hard parts of your process properly and are still easy to read, fault-find and extend years later.

  • Structured, modular code built from reusable function blocks
  • Sequence, batch and recipe control
  • PID loops and process control
  • VSD and drive integration over industrial networks
  • Safety controller and safety relay integration
  • Communications between PLCs, HMIs, SCADA and plant systems
  • Alarms and diagnostics that tell operators what is actually wrong

Where we work

FAQs

Common questions

Which PLC and SCADA platforms do you program?

We work across the major automation brands, including Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Omron, Siemens S5 and S7, and Schneider Modicon with Unity Pro, plus Citect SCADA and Vijeo Designer. We're also comfortable with bespoke and proprietary control systems that other integrators won't touch.

Do you deliver the whole project, or just the programming?

Either. Most of our PLC work is turnkey: we take it from concept and control philosophy through design, programming, panel build, testing and commissioning, with one team accountable for the result. We also write or modify programs for systems others have built.

Can you upgrade an old PLC without shutting the plant down?

Yes. We migrate legacy PLC and SCADA systems in planned stages, with cutovers scheduled around your production, so the line keeps running while the old system is replaced.

Do you offer remote support?

Yes. We provide both remote and on-site fault finding, so many control issues can be diagnosed without waiting for someone to drive to site.

How do you make sure the software works before it reaches site?

All PLC and HMI software is checked against our in-house software verification standard before it's installed, which keeps commissioning shorter and avoids surprises on start-up.
